We reached our goal in less than a week! Wooohooooo! Thanks everyone for the support and keep spreading the word on the Ghost because our kickstarter is live until August 28th.
Here is a nice article just release by Crowdfund Mafia.
“Unless you’re a big video production company, the element of human error is often unavoidable. Until now. ” View the full article on the link below.
We just launched our kickstarter for The Ghost. We’ve been working really hard on this project, so it’s super exciting to have it out there and hear what people think.
So far I am very happy with the response. The Ghost just got published in Gizmag, which you can view here: http://www.gizmag.com/ghost-video-camera-stabilizer/28243/
I’ve never had to do a job before with a bullet proof vest. 4th of July weekend, I was up in Helena, MT filming a Wardens TV show. I’ve filmed a few of their shows before, so I kind of knew what to expect, but Game Wardens operate a little differently in Helena. There are only two Wardens for the Helena area and they are required to respond to a lot more of the Deputies’ calls. This means that we dealt with a lot more DUI’s and domestic violence calls rather than checking hunting/fishing permits.
The first thing the Warden told me was to pick out a bullet proof vest. I raised my eyebrows and he said it was my choice, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. He told me a couple of stories where he’s had close calls and was glad he had the vest, so I picked out my vest.
We started work around 2pm and would work until 1am because most of the calls are later, after people have been drinking. We gave out a few DUI’s to people who definitely should not have been on the road. It was kind of scary seeing how drunk some of these people were behind the wheel. We did check a lot of fishing licenses, but everyone was legal. We also went out on the Wardens’ boat to make sure people were being safe on the lake. The wardens used some positive reinforcement by giving families free ice cream gift certificates for wearing life jackets.
As it got later in the day, the calls started getting a little more intense. We responded to some domestic violence calls that were really sad. We also went “code” (sirens and lights) to a campground where shots were reportedly fired. By the time we got there, 6 or 7 deputies had already arrived and one guy was being taken away to jail. There was still a pretty rowdy group of campers and they had to run an investigation on what happened. All in all, it was a pretty exciting 4th of July weekend.

We’ve been developing the Ghost now for quite some time and we’re finally at the stage where we want to release some information and start sharing the project. Explore the Ghost tab on our website and view the video.
The Ghost is an exciting project, so please share with friends, family, and co-workers. We’re hoping to produce these camera stabilizers on a large scale this fall, but need to start gaining some online support.

Here are some Aerial snapshots from the Hammer nutrition Mountain Bike Race that took place up at Marshal Mountain.
We had a live broadcast of the event, so if you didn’t get to see it you can view the men’s race here: http://velonews.competitor.com/live-2
It was the first time we did any live broadcast directly from the cinestar and we were super psyched to have it all working. We sent the live video feed to Hannah’s monitor and then split the signal to the tri-caster at the base of the resort. We had probably 500 yards of cable running down, but once all the connections were secure everything worked out. We flew about 17 battery packs during the race, so we just had a generator and cycled through the batteries as races kept coming. The pro woman biked 5 laps of the course and the pro men biked 6 laps, so we stayed pretty busy trying to keep the cinestar up in the air. It was an awesome event and we hope to do it again in the future.
Check out http://velonews.competitor.com/live-2 Saturday afternoon.
We are filming aerials of a pro mountain bike race up at Marshal Mountain.
We ran some tests today and cleared out a landing zone, so everything is a go. Now lets just hope the rain stays away
We spent the weekend up at Big Sky ski resort filming the Golf Course and some general resort shots. What a beautiful mountain. This is the first time we’ve been there in the summer. We had some great weather in the morning and even squeezed in a sweet mountain bike ride before we had to head out.
Next up is figuring out if we can do a life broadcast from our Cinestar to the internet to stream a pro mountain bike race up at Marshall Mountain. The race is Saturday, so hopefully we can get everything figured out.
